Our team is a diverse group of people, dedicated to bringing you wines of unparalleled quality and enjoyment. Our winemakers have practiced their craft at some of the most respected wineries in France, Oregon and California, and their deep experience in both winemaking and viticulture informs the creation of our site-driven wines. Our Calistoga and Healdsburg-based hospitality staffs are also passionate about what they do, committed to providing our guests with tasting experiences that are commensurate with our wines.
As a Napa Valley native with a diverse winemaking background, Nate is uniquely suited for his role as Director of Winemaking for Silver Oak and Twomey. Nate oversees wine production at both wineries, crafting delicious Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon and working with Twomey winemaker Erin Miller to make food-friendly, site-driven Pinot Noir, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.
Erin is Twomey’s Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc winemaker, a specialist in the varietal who has worked in France, Oregon and California. She embodies the French concept of “vigneron,” the idea that the winemaker should also be intimately involved with the vineyard, and believes in crafting vineyard-driven wines that express an unmistakable sense of place.
Daniel Baron and Jean-Claude Berrouet
As friends and winemaking colleagues for the last thirty years, Daniel Baron and Jean-Claude Berrouet bring the best of both New and Old World techniques to crafting Twomey Merlot. Daniel Baron, previous winemaker at Silver Oak Cellars, and Jean-Claude Berrouet, winemaker at Chateau Pétrus from 1963 to 2007, met three decades ago when Daniel became Jean-Claude’s apprentice at Chateau Pétrus. Today they relish the opportunity to work together again, producing a Merlot blend that captures the best of California’s fruit-forward style with the subtlety and restraint of Bordeaux.
David R. Duncan
David is Managing Partner of Twomey, the winery he and his family started in 1999. He is also President and CEO of Twomey’s sister winery, Silver Oak Cellars. David has been the energetic catalyst behind all aspects of Twomey’s development, including the establishment of its two wineries in Calistoga and Healdsburg and the search for excellent vineyard sites as well as grower partners in coastal regions throughout California. An active member of the Young Presidents Organization, David has served as Chairman of the Board of Napa Valley Vintners (2015), Chairman of Auction Napa Valley (2014) and Chairman of the Board of the St. Helena Hospital Foundation.
Tim is Managing Partner of Twomey as well as Executive Vice President of Silver Oak Cellars, Twomey’s sister winery. His experience in the Duncan family’s wine business dates back to the 1980s when he worked as a sales manager for Silver Oak, and he has been instrumental in the marketing and sales efforts of both Silver Oak and Twomey. Tim served as Chairman of Premiere Napa Valley (2008), and has represented both wineries in numerous community organizations and charitable events.
Tasting Room Managers
A Santa Rosa native, Ava was first introduced to the Twomey family through her long-time friend, Romana Behrens, who manages our Silver Oak tasting room in the Alexander Valley. She officially joined the Twomey family in 2006 and was promoted to Tasting Room Manager in 2007. Among the many things Ava loves about her work, she enjoys meeting people who visit our Calistoga tasting room from around the world who inevitably become friends over a glass of Twomey Pinot Noir.
A Sonoma County native, Chantel is excited to be back where it all began for her; "Being promoted to Tasting Room Manager at Twomey Healdsburg feels like coming home. I’m looking forward to continuing the commitment to excellence that our long-time guests and Club members have come to expect from us, while also making new friends and meeting new faces!" Club Twomey Managers
As a Healdsburg and Russian River native, Cyle grew up in the heart of California Pinot culture. Along the way, he has worked in every aspect of the wine business, from production to event planning. In 2012, after two years in the Twomey tasting room, Cyle was tapped to launch Club Twomey. Since then, he has helped shaped a personalized and dynamic Wine Club experience, by visiting and listening to our amazing members and guests, and helping them match the right wines to their palates. To Cyle, “It’s about getting to work each day with the best people, in the best place, to find them the best wines.”
