2016 began with replenishing rains that helped fill our reservoirs and saturate our soils, abating by the end of March. Budbreak at the end of March was followed by a promising flowering, indicating larger than average yields. The summer months were warm but as fall approached, temperatures cooled. Fruit matured throughout this ideal harvest season and maintained fresh acidity that carries the wine. Harvest began on August 18 and quickly wrapped up two weeks later.
